I couldn’t believe how this accident happened. Between the pilots and the people in the tower, someone should have been alert enough to prevent this from happening. You would think amateurs are now in charge of runway assignments. I know who I would blame, but I will keep it to myself in the name of professionalism.

Planes Collide

Oldman provided the wrong link because two Delta planes clipped wings Thursday and it was reported on Good Morning America yesterday morning.

I swear there seems to be an incident every single day. On another flight this week, a strange odor caused the flight to be delayed and passengers had to disembark down the slide. Oldman, I don't know if amateurs are in charge, but I know air traffic controllers have been known to be overworked and sleep deprived due to dwindling staff.

Thanks for straightening me out. I read too fast sometimes.

We were thinking of flying out to Las Vegas in May, but with all these recent incidents, we will wait until Fall to make the trip. Hopefully, the airlines, airports and manufacturers will get their acts together by then.

You're welcome. No problem Oldman. I've done the same thing several times. :) Sometimes I realize it myself and correct it. Other times someone else pointed it out. Like I said... an incident everyday! The latest is severe turbulence that caused 5 passengers to be hospitalized. Of course that is different from the types of issues this thread is about.
Turbulence drops Houston-bound plane 500 feet in seconds, 5 hospitalized
