Another shortage - blood sample tubes

I went to my cardiologist and they have a large sign in the lobby that only emergency blood samples will be taken due to vacutainer shortage. I wonder if thet's just their practice or it's all over - like everything else.

I hope they get this squared away. The best solution would be to start doing way more manufacturing here, or to help set up factories in neighboring friendly countries; like Canada, Mexico and a few countries in South America.

Nothing around here. I went & had blood work for my Dr. visit 2 weeks ago. The vampire took 9 tubes out of me. I ask her if she was going to leave any for me?

I got to go do it again in a week but this time it's for my kidney Dr. to check my CKD & she only takes 4 at that time.

Not sure what the tubes are made of, but there appears to be some concern about a shortage of glass, aluminum, magnesium and quite a few other items.
Of course, there is the increasing shortage of patience.

I had blood drawn for testing last week with no issues over supplies.

I suppose it could depend on which supplier they use and when they last stocked up on supplies.

It seems that many of these shortages are spotty.
