Another side effect of the virus, humane society by appointment only. Lovely.

Planned to take Henry and Aussie to the humane society today to finish their shots. Went on line to check their hours, and got the message shots by appointment only. It changed at the end of March. Well, dang it. I’ve got to get their shots this week.

You leave a message for a callback. Their message says due to so many messages it will take two days or more to get back to you. I’ve got to get their shots this week, or start the series over. So, have to find a private vet who will be extremely expensive, to get the shots. Sigh. Got to start phoning.

My PCP is doing a screening process also. All the doctors in the practice are affected. Glad I do not have to see any one now.

Got an appointment this afternoon at Banfield, will cost 800 dollars, but got to get the babies taken care of, husband will not be happy.

I had to take my cat in yesterday for blood work. I was petrified as no one is allowed in the building and Ranger is a hyper cat, so much so that once they had to give him oxygen. Terrified that without me there he would freak out.

But they know his history and all went well.

Great precautions were in place, call from the car, they open the vestibule, you place the carrier on a disinfected chair, they bring him in and then the reverse. The attendant was masked and gowned, the chair, pin pad and even the door disinfected.

Same here. They take us in the room, take the puppies, and then bring them back. Surprisingly husband is fine with the vet. Henry has a tummy problem which I want to ask about and the humane society does not provide any kind of care, just shots.

Both pups will get exams, another, worming and hopefully nail trim since grooming is closed. It’s really expensive and on top of what we already paid, but worth it in the long run. Besides not spending any money going out, the rest of the house repairs are on hold till the CC is paid down, and we just got our SS. It should be fine.

$800 for shots?? That's outrageous!
It was 500 dollars for the wellness plan. We purchased it for Henry only, the younger puppy, and we had already gotten half of his shots. Husband forgot Aussie‘s shot record, sigh, so made an appointment for him in another three weeks.

Supposed to include Henry being neutered, but this surgery has to wait because even elective surgeries for dogs are canceled. Aussie has already been neutered. When we take him back, he will get his physical, and any other shots he needs, but we won’t buy him the wellness plan.

Too expensive for both dogs. If I had known Koda was not going to be with us, I would not have gotten Henry although living without a puppy might have been impossible for me. Having a puppy is somehow necessary for my mental health, according to my doctor. Got Aussie to keep Henry company.

The boys were instant friends and love each other to death. Henry is a black and white Bordoodle, Aussie is a white and black Bordoodle.
