My wife is BP and when she was manic, she went to the local Medical Clinic and got my daughters a family doctor...they were waiting for years!

Incredible! So my humorous T-Shirt?

My DH son is BP and when I talk with him and he refers himself as others describing him as crazy.
I remind him of a song that Rob Thomas wrote about his wife whom it took over 9 years for them
to diagnose her and get her help.
Stepson just was released from the hospital after a 2 month stay, after a really bad episode. He is doing
better now.

The verse "how I used to be" reminds me to think of him as the sweet caring young man I know he is
and not what he is when he is Unwell.

That's why he needs to be reminded, he has a condition and people don't realize these things if they are not experiencing them or
know someone who does. I hate when he runs into people who say things like that where he can hear them, because he begins to
doubt himself.
 
My brother was bipolar….and could be stunningly manic and psychotic. He after many years and some very long hospital stays hot on a medication combination that worked. My son has delusions…schizophrenia…unmedicated and in denial. He lives with us….so I get it.
 
Hon is Bipolar...I'm schizophrenic but I haven't had an episode in 4 years. I get monthly injections is Abilify. Doctor's still have not found the correct cocktail of meds for my wife. She still struggles.

However, we were both diagnosed later in life and we are blessed with 2 healthy adult daughters. 🤗👍
