Any Catherine Cookson Fans Here?

I just came across a wonderfully written book that was "lost" and not published for many years and turned up recently when the estate went through her belongings.

Most of Cookson's books were of a story of struggle and triumph, dark in nature at times but this book was refreshingly delightful.

The title is St. Christopher and the Gravedigger but don't let that fool you. It is a fun book and makes me wonder why she did not write more like this.

The gravedigger seldom spoke until he got hit on the head with a ball while watching a game, and there the fun starts.

Thanks, @Lee, I will have to look that up! Haven't read C. Cookson in a long time but I do remember enjoying her stories.

I went on a Catherine Cookson jag several years ago and read all her books. Now and then I grab one at the library to re-read. I'm excited to hear there's a new one.
