Any horror stories from Restaurant experiences?

I worked in the kitchen of an upmarket restaurant in Cottesloe, Perth.
Chef was very pretentious. Took a dislike to a lot of customers.
One day a customer whom he had a dislike for ordered a Steak.
Chef threw the raw Steak on the floor before cooking it.

It makes you appreciate online reviews. Assholes can't get away with crap like that any more.

Only food poisoning 4 times.
Nothing like 3 days of fever, vomiting & diarrhea.........
At the last one, I posted a "detailed" review after verifying that their food was the cause. I also mentioned the increased risk of dehydration for someone with diabetes (like myself). And, there were other reviews from other diners who also got sick from their food. One had to be hospitalized.
The owner e-mailed me, actually thanking me for the review because "It really shows where we need improvement."
He offered me $100.00 in complimentary dining as a thank you. I told him that was very nice, but I just don't have the courage to eat there again. (He probably wanted to bribe me into deleting my review).

I won't mention the name of the restaurant, but I suggest you avoid Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ.

Out for lunch in a restaurant recently, I noticed a blue bottle buzzing around in the window, suddenly more joined it until there were six of them

We’d almost finished so, as the waiter cleared our plates, I drew his attention to the flies thinking he may discreetly spray a little fly repellant and open the window to let them out but, to my horror, he walked across and started swatting them with his hand ! ā€œthe sun attracts themā€ he said as he casually carried on back to the kitchen

Adding insult to injury we noticed a large ā€˜Service charge’ on the bill, needless to say we won’t be returning and notified the environmental health department about the flies...
