He was one of those few "talking singers" like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Not strong singers but knew how to put a song across.

I was listening to his playlist on Spotify and was surprised to hear a song when he was not "talk" singing but really singing more so and could not believe what a rich, beautiful voice he has so I would definitely put him in a strong singer category now.

My favorite live song is off of Rock n Roll Animal. Although it's a Lou Reed song it's the guitar intro along with Lou's performance that makes it for me.

Overall Lou is hit and miss for me. I love and like some of his songs but others don't do anything for me.
