Any Manifest Fans? What Did You Think Of The Series Finale?

I've watched the show since it's premiere and held my breath when I thought it would be prematurely canceled. Then, of course, Netflix saved the show. Without giving spoilers because I haven't seen the last season yet. Just tell me if you watched the series, what you thought of it in general, if you had favorite characters and if you think the writers did a good job of wrapping up the series. My grandson said it touched him in a way he couldn't explain because he didn't want to spoil it for me. I will be resuming my Netflix subscription so I can watch the final season.

I'll just say I liked the ending but they'll all have a lot of 'splaining to do!
I enjoyed the series even if it was not my all time favorite.
I liked Olive. She was a good character.

I watched that show when it 1st debuted on NBC, liked it alot, bit stopped watching when NBC cancelled it
I don;t have Netflix have no idea how the show ended

Although i'm on a documentary kick right now, i'm going to try to watch last season of Manifest.
The problematic thing for me is the length of time between seasons on some streaming outlets.
If it was a highly convoluted dramatic plot with multiple story lines i'm not always up for rewatching the earlier seasons to refresh my memory.

@feywon It seems that all networks have extended the gap between seasons. It's going to be worse for the fall and spring seasons with the looming strike. Don't they do a recap of the seasons before getting into the new season? I'll find out later...I just renewed my subscription at the new price $15.49.

@Nathan it is hard to keep up sometimes. As far as Grey's...each time I said I wouldn't watch the next season, they had a cliffhanger that changed my mind. Not so with the season before last. I haven't, nor do I intend to watch the last season and barely watched the one before that.

It doesn't help that I don't like half of the characters and never warmed up to the new characters. I can't stand Amelia nor Meredith's new boyfriend. I also never could figure out why they chose Ellen Pompeo to play Meredith. Also, I think that after Shonda Rhimes parted ways with ABC, the series went downhill.

@Furryanimal Glad you enjoyed. That's interesting...thanks for that tidbit. A possible spin-off?! I didn't see that coming! I'll start watching the final season this evening.

I did watch it in the beginning, and enjoyed it. Tried to follow along as best I could.
But, the wait between seasons and all the characters kind of just started to turn me off.

Although, I'll have to say...wondering where those people were for those 5yrs really intrigued me.

This probably isn't fair to ask, but.....if anyone would like to spill the beans about where they were for those 5 yrs , I'm ready and willing to listen.

I'll see if Google will tell me, too.

Manifest? Isn’t that about people who were previously killed in a plane crash and same back?
No they were presumed dead for 5 years. The plane did not crash but mysteriously reappeared. At one point after the plane had landed (it may have been days or weeks...don't remember), the passengers had callings which led them to the site where it was being stored and they watched it explode.

@dobielvr If someone does decide to spill the beans, I hope they will do it in a PM to you! Yeah, you'll probably find something on Google and they probably have a Wiki fan page.

i'm on Episode 10 when i go back to watching today (watched 1-4 over weekend and 5-9 yesterday). Fully hooked again now. Will probably finish by end of week.

i'm mostly liking the directions they're taking. The realism of showing how differently individuals deal with extreme events is well done. There was also an element i won't talk about yet because--might have spoilers for some, but it hit very close to a very difficult period in my own life, one that i'd had stirred up in January by my only remaining sister. But was glad they explored it tho they resolved quickly thanks to the 'Callings'.

Ended up bingeing the last 6 episodes yesterday. While there were some heart wrenching moments, i was satisfied with the finale. Tho it does raise a whole new set of questions that could make for interesting stories, but without the 'supernatural' elements. More psychological.

I was happy with the ending too Feywon. I could see what my grandson meant when he said it touched his heart. He's so cool that I was surprised that it got to his emotions like that. There were parts that made me say "Whoa!" I may rewatch at least part of the final episode.
