Any of you ever enjoyed a "Shore Dinner" at home or restaurants?

Currently watching "Blackbeard's Ghost" the 1968 with Fred MacMurray and Peter Ustinov. When in one scene between FM and SP, at a restaurant they ordered two Shore Dinners.

I've had the pleasure to share one with munchkins and hubby on a trip to Maine. It was lovely.

When 1st. married we ate that kind of meal at her uncles seafood restaurant. Didn't know it had a name we just enjoyed the meals.

People also call a seafood dinner a "Fisherman's Platter", or if done outside, it may be called a "Clambake".

I always had a favorite Shore Dinner Restaurant, it was Harbor Lights in Tacoma, WA.
The Captains plate was absolutely wonderful!

sounds like a "seafood mixed grill". Fisherman's Platter are usually deep fried fish and shell fish and ???. served with tartar sauce and fries along with cole slaw.

In Door County, Wisconsin, the "fish boil" is the tradition.
