Any plans for 2020 ?

We hope to travel up to the Gold Coast ( Queensland ) again this year to escape some of our winter in June / July it’s around a 4500 km trip there and back depending on the route we decide to take at the time
We spent 8 weeks up there last winter,

Yes! We are doing home renovations. At the moment we have 1/2 our kitchen floor tiled.

Ive organized a family get together with my loving in-laws ( and I mean that most sincerely ). Something I don’t do often enough.

Planning on making a huge contribution in the ‘decluttering’ department as I have an entire room full of STUFF. It’s almost scary.

I’m sending my husband out east to see his parents. Bought his plane ticket. In fact, I make sure he sees them every year.

And finally I’m working on trying to be a better version of me. I’d like to learn to spend less time in my head worrying and do more trusting that the universe always has a better plan than I do.

Do you have any plans for this year ? holidays, family celebrations, etc. What are you looking forward to in 2020 ?
Another chance to get healthier, eating even more healthy, cutting down on meat, more soy protein (I don't care what anyone says about soy--I think it's a good thing!)

Taking more frequent and longer walks with the doggy.

Meeting the man I've been texting with--we've become friends and having a new friend is another good thing!

Staying organized, continuing to organize more.

Seeing all the good in life and the good in myself!! ✨ (y) :p:D🔥

I’m very excited about you meeting this new man. Hopefully he’ll be compatible and you hit it off.
Organizing & staying organized has to be a top priority for me this year as I’m not consistent enough with it.

Plus I love how I feel when I treat myself and my surroundings with respect and consideration. Life runs more smoothly that way. Less things lost.

Good luck Ruthanne.

The only reason I stopped eating soy products is due to all the information about it. Since it’s a phytoestrogen or plant based estrogen, it can play havoc to woman especially in their menopausal stages of life since too much estrogen is cancer causing.

Having said that I’m not certain how true it all is. It’s certainly a controversial topic.

Going to Florida in Feb or March for Blue Jays (mostly for my hubby). Landscaping the backyard? Other reno's around the house/property. Cottage in the summer by the lake. Joining a fitness club and swimming. The swimming will be a big thing for me as I have an attachment to one of my CI's that will allow me to hear in the water. I am sure I will think of lots of other things to do now that my hubby is retired too.

Three major events this year:

1. A Mini-Reunion with a bunch of extended family in Huntsville. They're my ex-nieces and nephews from my former marriage, but we've always been close and stayed close after my divorce, and though I've seen each of them at different times, I haven't actually seen them all together in ages, plus they haven't seen my kids/their cousins in ages, some of whom also have had kids etc., so we've resolved to meet in Huntsville in the spring. I'll dive into that organization as soon as we get back from our getaway this weekend.

2. Complete the kitchen renovation. It's in progress, but we segued away from it last year to finish up the master bedroom suite renovation. So now it's time to dive into that, and get it finished. It's a 50's kitchen and has never been updated other than new appliances and and the new kitchen island with cutting board top that Ron designed and installed mid-year last year.

3. A WEDDING!!!!! Woo-hoo we're finally doing it! Date is set for 17 October, and venue is booked! It won't be formal, just a short ceremony and a big party with lots of dancing! I am looking forward to creating the venue to look the way I want it to, and will dive into that planning too as soon as we get back.

And of course mixed in there will be a variety of the mini-getaways we love, 6 kid/grandkid birthdays, and various seasonal events/holidays we always celebrate.

One of my hobbies is to volunteer at professional women's golf tournaments. I hope to caddie a few extra times this year. My wife and I had a wonderful time last year in Puerto Vallarta and plan to return again in 2020. Going on a cruise in a few weeks and maybe add another this year.

However, living in Vegas means we always have something to do!

We are going to a mini-reunion in Savannah, Ga. this spring with my son and his wife from Washington State and my daughter and her significant other from Rhode Island. I like Savannah almost as well as Charleston, SC.
