Anyone else, besides me, play any Fantasy Football or Hockey?

I have played (FREE) Fantasy Football since 2011. I love feeling involved in the sport without actually having to be there! The live draft is great and I usually prefer that. This year, however, the league manager (a female friend who I also got hooked on this) set it all up and our draft was at 6am!!! No way was I up for that so, had to take what I could. At least I made up a wish list. To be honest - I prefer to beat people I know but I didn't want to disappoint her efforts.

This year will be my second year of (FREE) Fantasy Hockey. My Spacewolves just drafted this morning. I am hoping to do better than last year when I really had no idea what I was doing. BUT, the lead Therapist at my Physical Therapy was a big fan and we always looked forward to my sessions when we could compare teams and he would explain the stats to me. Something to bond over! Lots of laughs since we both watched the games.

Enjoy your fantasies.

It has been fun to get to know the names of some of the teams and athletes and follow their careers. It also gives me something to discuss with men I come in contact with - and even some women (although my knitting group thinks I'm crazy!) It is also fun to participate in a group - some are chatty and some are not - but everyone has their own style.

I don't get the attraction of "fantasy sports " ? Why not follow a real hockey team in the NHL ? Reality versus fantasy, you can give me reality every time. JimB.

We do follow our favorite teams as well but I challenge myself to pick a winning team over my opponents in a league. Its all just for fun!
