I'm not sure what the genre is called, or whether there is a term for it at all.
For a long time we had Mystery Science Theatre 3000 which was followed up by a number of other series that finally gelled into the RiffTrax of today.
There is a June 5th 2024 12 Hour Marathon on YouTube, along with a lot of canned episodes for free on their YouTube channel.
The basic idea is to view bad movies and shorts (short films, often of the types shown in schools, employee training sessions, or filler/PSAs on TV)... but with a mocking soundtrack running over them from a small band of comedians.
Some of these become classics within the genre, later referenced again and again in passing.
There are both MST3K and RiffTrax channels on PlutoTV as well.
