Anyone ever heard of Snapchat?

Snapchat is a popular messaging app that lets users exchange pictures and videos (called snaps) that are meant to disappear after they're viewed. It's advertised as a "new type of camera" because the essential function is to take a picture or video, add filters, lenses or other effects and share them with friends.

It's a silly, mindless phone application, and I don't use it as any kind of messaging or texting app, I just have it on my phone to entertain the grandkids with, and occasionally get goofy with Ron.

I had a crazy Saturday this last w/e...Christmas Dance at my dance studio, babysitting Saturday morning, shopping with my son Saturday afternoon (I think I posted about that) and my granddaughter's ballet recital Saturday night. I finally fell into bed at Ron's late Saturday night and slept solidly for 8 hours! I was exhausted Sunday, so we didn't do much. Spent the afternoon lazing around, nibbling cheese and fruit and drinking wine. And fooling around with the Snapchat app and taking photos and putting ridiculous effects on them.

Here's our new look: What do you think?

I arrested four teenagers back in 2012 for sexting while using Snapchat in a classroom. They (2 boys & 2 girls) were sending each other pictures of different parts of their body, if you get my drift.

The one student was using the school’s wi fi and the server caught it before the messages were deleted. The school IT guy saved the Snapchats and called us. We arrested the four students and turned them over to the local police. I have no idea how the case was disposed.

If I had to guess, I would say that the case was probably a misdemeanor and therefore, a summary offense, unless it may have been upgraded to a third degree misdemeanor and then if that’s the case, the judge would have some options.

That's "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours" on steroids!
