I just got back from taking my dad to a neurologist. He is 87 and has been diagnosed with dementia. This was a follow up visit. Anyway, she prescribed Aricept to help slow down the dementia and I was just wondering if anyone has had friends or family members who have tried the drug and if it helped any. He was also told today that he can no longer drive. It was very hard for me to hold back the tears when he was told that but I am thankful that the doctor did tell him. My dad agreed.
Anyone familiar with the prescribed drug Aricept ?

Yes. Aricept does slow down the symptoms of dementia. My wife had it.
