Anyone having trouble posting replies?

Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble getting this site to post replies? I had trouble before. It was saying I had too many words in a paragraph and to break it up in smaller segments. When I did that, it still didn't post. I asked Holly Dolly and she graciously told me just to hit the enter button. I did that for a while, and it worked. Now I try it and it's a hit or miss as to whether it will post or not. Is it me or my laptop?

Your paragraphs are too long. Every so often just hit enter a couple times to space it out into paragraphs. It makes it easier for us to read.

Like this instead of a great big long post. It's a rule here. Look at other people's long posts for an example. :)

yes like Fritz says you need for the forum algorithm to break up the posts into smaller paragraphs... (y)

There's a word count limit I believe for each paragraph. I try to keep it to 5 or 6 lines. If that helps.

I have limited my words and paragraphs and it's still a hit and miss. It's either my laptop (which is only less than a year old) or the person operating it and that's me. I think it's probably just me. I'm not that proficient on a laptop. Thanks for your tips!

how long are the paragraphs you're trying to write? are they more than 5 or 6 lines?

I'm terrible on a laptop as well..which is why I rarey use mine...I much prefer my MAC desktop

whenever it tells you there's too many words just keep breaking it up til it lets you post. there's obviously too many in certain sections so just take the larger sections left yet and break them up a little more.

I have a desktop downstairs that I should try to use and see if that would work better. The trouble is, I spend most of my time upstairs. I hate going up and down the steps too much for safety reasons. I've had too many patients with broken hips. We have 18 steps and they're fairly steep. I should do the steps more often for exercise reasons. I do have a stairlift my husband used but I refuse to use it until later on when I might have to.

did you have any issues posting this just now?
 
Also TeePee are you just hitting enter once or twice between paragraphs? If you're only hitting enter once that may be the reason.

No. It's a hit and miss. That's why I'm thinking it might be my laptop. I know sometimes I will type something and go back to read it, and it will not have typed everything. Maybe my keyboard needs cleaned somehow. I have never taken computer classes so everything I've learned is trial and error. I never knew how to use a computer until it became mandatory, I learn it at work, and it was preprogrammed so it was easy.

I do the exact opposite.... I spend most of my time upstairs... because this is where my office room is..... my laptop is downstairs.. and like you I have steep stairs... ( 14 in my case)...
