Anyone Here Have a Whole-House Humidifier?

I keep thinking about getting one since this area is turning more and more into a desert and the portable ones seem to be a lot of trouble to clean, etc. Any info./advice appreciated, thanks.

I just have a single room humidifier, located in the bedroom. I'm pretty used to the low desert humidity (16%) but I try to bump up the level in the bedroom, helps a bit with the sinuses at night.

I live in Wisconsin and have one on my furnace. It gets really dry in the house in the winter. The whole house humidifier, turned up as high as it goes, keeps the humidity at about 42. I change the filter myself every year. You need a water line and a drain near the unit.

That's what we had in our house .. but, had to rinse the filters more often than once a year.
