Anyone here living in Florida and preparing for Ian?

I am about in the middle of the state in the city of Lakeland. LOL I moved from California and away from earthquakes a few years ago and now a hurricane is headed my/our way.

We do not expect it t be too bad here but are ready to board up the house and set up the generator if need be. We did the usual stocking up with canned food and water. Tonight I am praying for the people of Tampa and the surrounding areas.

I'm very familiar with Lakeland and the surrounding areas. My hubby is from Bartow. Please do prepare. This is a BIG hurricane! I remember them affecting as far inland as Orlando.

Glad you stocked up with canned food and water. Please be sure to take cash out of the ATM and fill up your vehicles with gas as well. If your power goes out, this will help. Take it from someone who lived in Florida for over 20 years.

Just had a lot of rain and some wind here in Clearwater. Our condo apartment is on some of the highest ground in Pinellas county.

Bright and sunny out as I write this on Friday.
