Do you still use email for communications or is that too obsolete? I mean for something other than a login.

Same question about a computer...

Still use one or do you do everything from your phone?

Oh goodness me - YES!!! I love email. I don't do DM's on a phone. In fact, I hardly ever use a smartphone. The one and only reason I got one was because my bank changed it's online security methods, and a smartphone was compulsory.

Given a choice (which I'm not), I'm only deal with email. It ain't hip, but I like it.

As for a computer - yes, I have a full blown desktop computer that I'm using right now. Occupational hazard.

I get important emails from my bank, other businesses, and important stuff. Buying on line requires emails for confirmations and receipts, etc. I never heard that emails were becoming obsolete.
Do you use it to communicate with your friends? That's what I meant by obsolete.

I ask because most of my friends use PM on Facebook, or text messages. Hardly anyone uses email for talk unless it's to send a large file.

I don't have a Facebook account. So no, I don't use PM's. To be frank, if you want a serious conversation other than by voice, email is the best for me.

No cell phone and I am surviving just fine without one. So once in a while I use E-mail, mostly though I use PM's on Facebook. Must add that I only have people I know on my friends list so it is short!

I agree, I don't do facebook, twitter/X, tictok, instagram, etc. I do use email for my main communication with friends, relatives, businesses, etc. I either make or receive emails or regular phone calls. Only will use text when absolutely necessary. My phone is rarely turned on, I only use it for potential emergencies or short calls with my husband.

Sign out of every internet account you used to identify yourself, in settings click do not share information. It's an easy temptation to use your gmail or apple sign in option, doing so gives permission to sell your information as they say to better serve your needs according to profile purchases and website browsing. You can sign up for a Tor email account for increased privacy and security.

Altho' I use Email..I'm not a luddite... I use my Iphone for all sorts of stuff.. checking emails.. checking websites to which I'm registered... sending texts... but Twitter, et al..can do one...

I do have a FB account which I only ever use to look at what's happening with the family..and even then only every now an again. I certainly don't, nor does my family have chats on it ...

However the other day for the first time, I used it to reunite someone with something I found, and they'd lost... they were very grateful to be reunited with it.. so for something like that FB is useful..otherwise..I'm not interested in it

Yes, I just bought a new cell phone..that I'm "getting used to".
Not a techie..so, it's a new challenge
