Anyone watching The Voice?👍

I don't care for those shows. I've only ever watched a couple of episodes of American Idol and that was when it first came on. The only thing I've watched of The Voice is The Voice (Germany) when my cousin Daniel competed. Cousin "Bee", his grandmother, had sent me the video of when he was first notified that he'd be a contestant. It was so cute. A Voice staffer was on the train he worked on and pretended to need help. Then she let him know. Here is the video of him competing.

Unfortunately, he did not win the competition, but is still pursuing his music career and has done concerts in Europe. Bee is shown in the video along with Daniel's mom and half brother. Still get big smiles when I watch this.

Oh, he is so good!
Talented family!

We watched it up until last season. There have been some really amazing singers, but we chose to stop watching because it seems there is always some mediocre white guy who is a county singer that wins. There have always been more talented singers who haven't won and it just makes us frustrated. Now that Reba McEntire (I like her BTW) is on the show another country singer will almost assuredly be picked.

Thank you so much Hearlady❣️ Yes, we do have some talented people in my family. I have another cousin who has a fabulous voice. Unfortunately he blew a 2 million dollar contract a couple of decades ago due to addiction. He is now clean though.

@caroln Thank you❣️ Yes Daniel is German. He was born and raised there and has never lived in the U.S. His dad now lives in the states. But he's not the first German in the family. Coincidentally, one of the first ancestors one of our family historians traced back to was a German slave trader (not proud of that part!).

Funny thing is when Daniel and cousin Bee, who lives in Puerto Rico, came to the states for our 2015 family reunion, we all rode the bus from New Jersey to South Carolina. No one, not even Bee, his grandmother, knew that he had aspirations to become a singer! Of course he won the prize for being the relative who lived farthest away. Daniel is such a nice, gentlemanly young man. We are very proud of him indeed.
