There is a possibility that what you think you know is not as it seems. This means, life as it is known is a fabrication to prevent or avoid the truth.
What I think I know? For a fact I know that I have lived in relative freedom for almost seventy-seven years but it came at great sacrifice. My father spent a very unpleasant four years in a prisoner of war camp. His brother paid the ultimate price, as did half a million other Brits, military and civilians. I doubt that they fabricated that. There is a possibility that what you think you know is not as it seems. This means, life as it is known is a fabrication to prevent or avoid the truth.
There is also a possibility that, that statement is not likely. There is a possibility that what you think you know is not as it seems. This means, life as it is known is a fabrication to prevent or avoid the truth.

From "Strawberry Fields" by the BeatlesFrom "Enlightenment" by Van Morrison..
Enlightenment says the world is nothing
Nothing but a dream
Everything's an illusion and nothing is real
True, your perception and mine may differ.Perhaps what I see reflects or conditions the way I respond to things? What I see may not be what is, but what I choose it to be?
I think we'd both recognize the bag and the cat as tangible things, that one is living and the other is inanimate and a handy sort of container. Personally, I don't think there's any trickery involved. It's not just the light that fools us into believing there are oceans and land and everything else.Whatya see is whatya get?I understand the argument that life is a hologram, but can't shake the reality of the 3D. If we are talking about media controlled reality as the OP intimated, then I agree it's pretty much illusory. I wonder if the world will ever get past this division of what is real and what isn't now that the cat is out of the bag?
