I think that a lot of modern architecture is not much more than a 'ego trip' for the architect. I can't say that this is my favourite - far from it, but it is the new Victoria & Albert museum in Dundee. It's probably about the worst museum that I have visited! Little more than a large empty space with a very expensive cafe and virtually no exhibits.
Alongside is the RSS Discovery - Scott's Atlantic survey ship. Now, that's a real work of art and craftsmanship.
