Are cats the only creatures that bury their business?

I don't know about the lions and leopards but I do know that when Riley buries his business it is like he is digging for gold. It is quite the process I tell you. I wonder if he brings a newspaper in there to read as he is in there so long. Just like a man.

Since cats are brilliant, they are covering any evidence of their scent so enemies can't track them. My 2 cats would sometimes guard each other while one is in the box and the other was looking out for the predators that hide in my closets.

It's for protection, IMO

I just did a quick Google search and found that larger cats like lions don't in order to mark their territory. My tabby covers good, my calico not so much. She paws around the perimeter of the box and even sometimes out of the box while the uncovered evidence just sits there. Sometimes my tabby will cover it for her. That's service. I keep their box scooped and if someone poops when I'm home, I'll scoop right away.
