Are Diamonds Suitable for a New Friend?

I'm a guy, but I do know that women consider jewelry as a very symbolic act. There's a real difference in gifts between a vegomatic slicer and a gold bracelet.
Anything with diamonds, you might as well ask her to sign the marriage license, while you're at it.
