Are Fireworks a regular occurrence where you live?

It is 8pm Saturday here in Perth and Fireworks a going off somewhere within 10kms of my place.
Seems many organisations use Fireworks as an ending to their event these days

Privately-possessed fireworks are a problem in my area mostly during the summer months, and to a lesser extent on New Years. It can, unfortunately, be difficult at times to distinguish firecrackers from gunfire, this being ‘Murica and all. The animals are terrified by both…

Fireworks are not readily available to the public here so that is not an issue.
Maybe they can be bought on the black market but I never hear any random fireworks being set off.
Tonight's fireworks went for 10 minutes only.

Professional displays are mainly used on and around patriotic holidays or at the new year.

The private use of firecrackers and other small explosives are not unusual in the wee hours.

Gunfire is also fairly common in my city.

Wow, that must be disconcerting...and rather scary.

I live in a rural village and some dope keeps firing a small caliber weapon between our houses.. I hear it go "thunk" into something. Probably a target. Guess he thinks he'll never miss. I live on a corner and there are buildings all around with people in them. Police are many miles away and don't bother coming here. My hope is the bullet will ricochet off something and go "thunk" into him.

Yes, my next door neighbor had loud fireworks going off in the small pasture between our houses on July 4, I stayed awake late afraid he was going to catch the dry grass on fire.

Fireworks occur around here about 8-10 times a year it seems, for various occasions, and they last about 7 day stretch or so.

Don't like 'em, and I especially don't like how it affects animals.

Fireworks can only be sold here to the general public 15 days before July 4th and the same for New Year. Most towns have ordinances against using them within city limits. We live rural and we and neighbors do use them for celebrating both those holidays. There are exceptions for firing them for festivals and other special events. Think people who fire those have to be professionally certified and require a permit.

Our county doesn't allow private display of fireworks, but it's not really enforced, just that you can't buy
them.

Next county over sells them and we have been known to celebrate a holiday with our neighbors.

Most times we jump in a Uber and head Downtown to watch the display.
Sit across the from the Titan stadium for the big show.
Have some drinks, eat way too much food and just enjoy.
