Here in Australia Guide Dogs are allowed anywhere and everywhere.
Hospitals, Taxis, Shops, Cafes...

Police called after Uber drivers refused service to Paralympian with guide dog

A paragraph from the story

Later that night, Mr McClure noticed his Uber account had been temporarily suspended.
When he contacted Uber, he said he was told a driver had made a complaint about him, alleging physical and sexual abuse.

In my area they are supposedly required to allow service animals but it gets sort of dicey in a luxury vehicle at a premium price.

They recommend ordering up a pet friendly vehicle to avoid issues.
What is a luxury vehicle at a premium price?
We are talking taxis/ubers here.
Surely limousines are not used as taxis?
Though if a guide dog reliant person wanted to arrive at a swanky do in a limousine there should be no issue?

The rideshare companies offer premium vehicles at premium prices with categories like UberLux or LyftBlack.

IMO the sword cuts both ways, the owners of such vehicles may not want to risk damage and their customers may not want to arrive at a function covered in dog hair smelling like a dog.

These days a service or emotional support animal can be almost anything to anyone and I don’t see it as a big deal when a pet friendly alternative is being offered.
