My favorites are UK crime dramas, mostly on Britbox. Documentaries on YouTube, international news in the morning and old TV and movies. The only new tv show I've watched in years is 'Landman'. I stream with Roku and pretty much haven't watched any network TV in a few years.

Do you watch TV a lot ?..i it something you like to do ?

I worked in the TV & film industry for many years... I watch very little TV...

I watch far less nowadays. I put the news on for breakfast. We watch properly after dinner mainly, then it's drama series and comedy.
I like Homes under the Hammer to relax in the day if I have time but otherwise I have other interests especially reading.

I used to watch all the soaps but none now.

I watch YT mainly. I have it on the computer during the day. When I settle down for the night watch it on my television. I rarely watch a movie on Prime. Sometimes I find old movies or television shows on YT.

wELL I'M having some stress trying to adapt to this "streaming"
tv stuff, last eve got very frustrated cause I could not find any
"new" programming, just kept finding old stuff from years ago...
But I know this too shall pass, just got to keep experimenting....;)

A "Googleboxer" ??? I prefer not to discuss my religious beliefs.
But as far as watching TV, I'm an addict. I love cartoons, and I haven't met a documentary I didn't love. I do like to watch the 70s "Match Game" at 1PM (Blankety Blank). One of the channels is 60s hit songs, and I love to crank up the stereo and listen to it when I'm doing stuff. I guess I'm a TV addict, when I'm away from home at a hotel, I have to check out their channel menu to see if they have my favorite ones.

I am WAY too busy to watch TV. I cut the cable over 25 years ago. Never watch TV during the day. However, I do watch 2 hours of it in the evening; mainly DVDs that I buy from Amazon. For example, old westerns and dectives.

Can't stand the mind killing advertising!

Adverts drive me insane..so for that reason I record everything to the hard-drive on my TV.. then watch and FF through the commericals... they really drive me nuts

Fortunately tho'.. we do have terrestrial channels.. with the BBC.. they are advert free.. so I don't have to record those..

Having said that, a few months ago a national thing was happening here in the UK which would affect everybody ... and I knew nothing of it until it actually happened.. When I told my daughter I didn't know this thing was happening.. she said but mum it's been advertised on TV for months....

well..that's the drawback of not watching adverts, but I'll take that... any day

Yes on the documentaries. I go through periods where I stay on one subject or era in history for weeks. Right now I'm Maritime history of 16th through 19th century on YouTube .

With newspapers all but extinct, their web sites paywalled up and down with more persistent and obnoxious ads than a Blade Runner blimp, and cable TV way overpriced with nothing but corrupt State and corporate "news" outlets spinning lies...

Well, there isn't a lot of access to what's going on next door or around the world if you don't pay some attention to streaming video podcasts and the like. I'm glad to see more local content produced for this medium now. Local news is being cut out by the media empires that own nearly every over the air TV station now.

Sure, I have nostalgia for old TV shows and movies, but very few are significant or entertaining enough for me to spend more of my life watching old stuff all over again. I can't imagine there's a market for game show reruns! The most transitory of cheap filler programming there ever was. But on the flip side it is nice to glimpse the old media personalities back in their prime.

YouTube, Rumble, et al. give suppressed voices a chance to get the word out about the state of things in their neck of the woods. Without these you'd barely know that the people are rising up in so many parts of the world. Even elected officials are being canceled by the MSM today if they don't toe the line.

I watch tv starting at 5 pm, usually until 9 or 10. My favorite is Law & Order SVU with the gorgeous Mariska, but I watch a variety of other stuff too, like Top Chef. new limited series. With streaming there are no ads on most platforms, tho Prime recently started showing 6 or 7 before and sometimes in the middle of the show. That's when I use the mute button and take a bathroom break. I actually love watching tv. Also love reading, which now that I don't have to work I do most days.

I don't watch much TV like I use to.My favorite show which I still watch since its debut 4 yrs ago on CBS is comedy 'Ghosts',without the annoying laugh track
I don;t turn on TV during the day except on Sat afternoon watching college football games
A couple other shows I like PBS's All Creatures,Great&Small',documentaries with David Attenborough on BBC America. Food Network's "Kids Baking Championship, Holiday Baking Championship'

In the early years of our marriage we didn't have a television. Our free time was taken up with dancing, socialising, dress making and work. You might think that the Strictly dance show appeals, I watched about ten minutes and quickly realised that it's more of a reality show than a dance competition.

A stock answer I use when people say, with surprise: "You're still working?" My reply is: "Have you ever seen daytime TV?"
