Are you a M*A*S*H fan?

Oh Yes, in 1970 to 1973, I was on Okinawa living in a large Army BOQ during its heyday and a bunch of us would assemble in one of the Army's nurses every week. She had a pile of WWII Helmets which we would put on while we watched the show, ate peanuts and drank wine. After the show we headed to the club for dinner and more wine.
Col Potter was much better than Col Blake, and Maj Winchester was way better than Maj Burns. Radar was one of my favorite characters.

I prefer the first MASH with Colonel Blake and Traper John. I thought the storylines and jokes were much better.

Blake was nearer the age of the other officers. Col. Potter was more of a father figure being much older.
Burns or Winchester were just character types with buttons for Hawkeye to push.

Some favorite episodes (in no particular order) - Movie Tonight, Fallen Idol, Old Soldiers
Not so favorite - Hawkeye (which is essentially a monologue by Alan Alda), Rainbow Bridge, Comrades in Arms

I don't remember any episode titles but I did like the earlier Mash episodes better with Blake and Trapper John. I though the first few episodes were much more true to the movie than the later ones. Some of the scenes with Radar and Blake are classic.

Larry Linville who played Frank Burns was, in my opinion one of the best actors on the show. He was utterly believable as Frank Burns and you just loved to hate him.

I liked the later ones. I have to agree that there was much more comic banter on earlier seasons, but I thought the characters were better developed. and more plot, later on which is more important to me. I think Col Potter made all the difference. Can't tell you names of episodes, but pretty much liked all the later season ones for different reasons, comic or more serious.

I loved every single episode of M*A*S*H! I didn't have a favorite between Col. Blake, Col. Potter, Frank or Charles. They each brought their own flavor to the show. I cried three time during that show, the first time when Col. Blake died, then when Radar went home, and of course when the show ended.

I liked the earlier episodes..with Col. Blake and Trapper. I have watched the final episode on streaming services a few times now. The scene when Hawkeye breaks down when he realizes it was not a chicken but a baby still chokes me up. @debodun

I avoid the show. Liked it when it was first on the air, now I find the characters obnoxious,
conceited and ridiculous (esp. Klinger).
I hate A. Alda's character. I'd like to see him court martialed.

I understand I’m from a military family and there’s a lot of disrespect of the military in this show which is disgusting But some of the jokes make me crack up but I respect how you feel 👍

I enjoyed all the characters, changes just took getting used to. They were all so funny, but there was an episode that brought the reality and horror of war to me more intensely than anything else involving a memory of Hawkeye's.
