Are you a "pro" retiree?

I'm a professional retiree. I get paid to be retired. And I do my job damn well. In my case, I became disabled, then I went "pro". So, I've been on the "pro-retiree" circuit for a while, now. I have to say that turning "pro" had its ups and downs. But I've adjusted. So, I was wondering how are you adjusting to going "pro"? Is it as bad as you thought, or worse? And if you're in the minors, and thinking of going "pro", what do you want to know?

I stopped working in 2005 but my rich uncle Sam didn't start paying me to stay out of the way until 2016.

Retirement is great but it's even better on someone else's dime.

In 2005, I got fed up with my Government Customer. I looked at my 401K balance and what I would draw from social security and that inspired me to resign. (I did not have any problem with my company.)

After I handed in my resignation letter, I went home and gave myself a pay raise by activating social security and setting up monthly withdrawals from our IRA's and 401K.

A couple of weeks later the Government types called me and asked me to come back and join any of the companies inside the complex. Oh Yeah right!
