Are You Impatient?

I find that I am becoming more impatient the older I get. I want to get things done now, not later. At one time I was a pretty patient guy. What happened? I don't want to wait in line or be put on hold. I want that three minute egg done faster. I don't want to wait for the hot water to come throug the pipes. On and on.

Very patient anymore when receiving good, but slow, service in a restaurant or retail store, etc. Becoming less patient when receiving poor service anywhere.

Too patient about getting things done around the house, errands, etc. Too much of a procrastinator. Always figure I'll have something to do tomorrow, next week, or when the weather turns hot/cold/mild/rainy if I don't do it today.

Less patient with the beautiful blonde who has put up with me for over 50 years. I've always made fun of how my wife and daughters pull "blonde stunts". Living 24/7 with a blonde, I just have to shake my head. (Still love her so much!!!)

A little more patient with my golf game. A little less patient with those who don't respect the Game and the course.

Much less patient with people who show zero respect for their fellow man. The scourge of people not being able to utter a sentence without it laced with four-letter words upsets me.

More anger than impatience now.

You should let that anger go, Angry with....what? If you are allowing something to make you angry, you have given that something control over the way you feel.

For almost 15 years I was angry at my ex-wife...when I realized that I was giving her control over the way I feel...the anger disappeared immediately.

I'm very patient except when it comes to household chores. If there is something to be done around the house that I absolutely can't handle I want it to be done yesterday and it better be up to my standards. My good enough hubby is just the opposite. He is always putting things off. It's either to hot,to wet,to dry,not on sale so we can't buy it, and a million other reasons. I try to do as much as I can but sometimes it's impossible. I probably got this from my Dad who wouldn't even finish dinner if he knew something had to be fixed.

Nah! Not angry at anyone else. Angry with myself that I can't do stuff like I used to and the stuff that I do takes twice as long not to mention the sloppy spills or whatever.

I have posted a sign over my kitchen cabinets. The law of gravity means everything must fall.

I retired four months ago and have noticed a significant decrease in my patience, i'm not sure why maybe I'm just adjusting to my new lifestyle

O.K., I see what you're saying.
