Are you still driving? When will you stop?

I am only 59 and commute 20 miles each way to work and back. I plan on driving for a good long time. Although, like others, I really don't like driving at night. My hubby and I plan on doing a lot of driving south in the winter time when we retire in 2-3 years.

By the time I don't want to or can't drive any longer, I fully expect autonomous cars to be available. I haven't heard much about these lately though. I can't wait! To be freed up from having to drive would be wonderful.

When they rip my wheel from these cold, dead hands.:torch:

Hopefully, they won't be ripping the wheel from the hands of those innocent people you've killed in your unconscionable push to keep driving up until the age where your driving skills fail you, and you kill yourself.

I know many older people who are just fine behind the wheel, and a few who are not. I do not support the idea of an arbitrary age when one should no longer drive.

Of course people on opioids and certain other medications should not be driving. Neither should people with certain medical issues which affect their ability to drive safely.
