Arizona ice tea was awful

At $5.99 a gallon, it should taste better than extremely dilute Kool-aid. I could buy a package of Crystal Light mix and make my own.

BTW - Crystal Light lemonade mix contains caffeine which I didn't know. I have to be careful since I am very sensitive to caffeine.

Did the ginseng provide any noticeable benefits?

There were many ginseng farms in this area during the Great Depression and wild ginseng is still plentiful as a result.

I’m not sure what mature roots bring these days but it used to be a lucrative little sideline.

I generally brew sun tea to use as ice tea. Lemon Ginger, Raspberry, sometimes blend the two. Also if temps will be in 90s for days i slice limes and put them in a water jug. Just a hint of lime taste, don't use any sweeteners in either teas or coffee.

Used be only sometimes in August it got that hot, a day or two in midst of mostly mid 80s when we moved here 12 years ago. Then last year both July and August frequently that hot. This year we started that pattern in June.

I've been buying Arizona tea products for years. Since it's been so hot lately, I purchased a gallon jug of diet tea with ginseng. I might as well have bought a gallon of bottled water. It tasted so dilute; there was hardly any flavor. I am very disappointed.
Hi Deb. I make a cold electrolyte beverage:
Ingredients:
A cup of black or green or herbal tea, cooled
A big dollop of homemade kombucha
A big dollop of Zevia soda
A splash of very strong fresh (the produce, not the powder) ginger tea
A big pinch of electrolytes
A pinch of Irish sea salt
A pinch of cayenne pepper

Procedure:
Dump the above into a one-quart jar
Fill the jar with water
Chill, stir
Makes one quart

If your trying some drink for the first time in a while, don't start with a gallon.

As much as I like ice tea, I don’t really care for any of the bottled teas one can buy. If I have to buy a bottled tea I prefer Gold Peak .
usually though, I just pour up a bottle of tea from a pitcher I’ve made if I need one for the road.

She said she's been buying it for years, though.

Maybe to keep their tall but still only 99-cent cans at only 99-cents, they fudge on the quality of the gallons.

Would be cool if you get a refund, @debodun, because what would you do with a lousy replacement coupon?
They also change the recipe over the years. We could also blame the word "Diet"!
