Floating islands / colonies of fire ants are also trying to escape the high water in Texas.

I mistakenly stumbled into a colony of these while fishing Lake Sam Rayburn in Texas a few years ago......never again !

THAT is scary. I've had my fire ants experiences. Most unpleasant.

If you wish to really kill them and all under them pour bleach then ammonia on them gone but don't smell the stuff makes chlorine gas they never will be back there in that spot.

Noah should never have let them on board along with mosquitoes and a few humans I know.

At least some fish had a treat. But there might not be many land animals/predators left to help eliminate this problem.
