National news media will begin churning out coverage of the huge international APEC event that begins Saturday 11/11/23 in San Francisco that will be attended by many world leaders including our pres, Chinese pres, and Russian officials.
Joe Biden, Xi Jinping set to steal APEC spotlight with talks to steady ties
Lots of street closures for security, armies of police from many organizations including federal, and of course plenty of protest organizations intent on disruption. There is also a separate street art/craft fair on Market Street, the city's main downtown street that will be just 4 blocks away from the APEC area plus a Hip Hop music event with a dance battle contest nearby. Sunny, low 60F temps, light breeze so fine weather to be rowdy.
So yes, mr dave after a quiet week at home, is expecting to drive the 55 miles north up to The City late Saturday morning and find some fun and amusement on those streets. Will park for free in a familiar, safe, upscale neighborhood well away from downtown then take a short bus ride 2 miles into downtown.
