Asked to make a face mask

So my daughter's friend is a CPS case worker. She would feel better going back out into the field wearing a mask. Daughter asked me to make one. Miraculously, I had fabric and (the real miracle) elastic. Enough for two masks. (plus 1/2 an inch!) First one took an hour to make. Second one took 15 minutes. Learning curve. Will it do any actual good? No idea. There is so much conflicting information on the internet (no surprise) but I did the best I could with what I have. I am so over this. Leaving them out on the porch on a bench for her to pick up. Sigh.

You might check with the local hospital to find out what you need to make them with. Also, they will have be sterilized in order for them to use them. We had a lady making some here and when one of the girls wore it, she got told it had to be sanitized or she had to take it off.

No virus can withstand a hot water machine wash and a tumble dryer. That's what our facility is using.
