Aspen Dental...Anyone

I lost another tooth a few days ago...an old root canal from many years ago...the crown broke off. The dentist removed the old worn out root yesterday, and I will be going back in a couple of weeks to get this empty space added to my partial. It seems that I'm having an old tooth break down every few months, and getting closer to needing full dentures.

Has anyone had dentures made at Aspen Dental? They seem to offer dentures within a day or two, instead of waiting a week, or longer to have a set made at my regular dentist. I can just imagine trying to live off soup and milkshakes for a week, or more.

Living in a rural area, my choices for doctors, dentists, etc., is a bit limited, but there is an Aspen office about 25 miles away. But, before I think seriously about going that route, I would like to see if anyone else has used their services. Thx, in advance.

I've used Stone and Aspen for emergency denture repairs with good results.

I didn't like the production line environment with little privacy or personal attention, but the prices were competitive with other traditional dentists in my area. I also felt that the dentures I was shown looked more like white bathroom tiles than natural teeth, but they may offer something more natural. Finally, I felt like they were making most of their money from the financing plans than from the actual dentistry.

I opted to go with a local dentist in an effort to establish an ongoing relationship for annual checkups, adjustments, etc...

My dentist shares the opinion that it's better to go without teeth until the gums shrink and toughen up. Talk to your dentist about the options. Some dentists will make a set of throw-away teeth for a few hundred dollars to get you through the process.

I've had my new dentist remove a Hader bar and the last two root canals, but I'm still able to limp along with the old denture and Sea-Bond denture adhesive pads until we complete the process in another month or so.

I'm not sure what my final cost will be but the initial visit to remove the two roots was $915.00 and the cost quoted for each full denture was $2,100.00.

Good luck!

I never give money to corporate clinics of any kind. I live two blocks from me and went there when I first moved here. I noticed the staff member changed when I visited multi times and that told me to stay away. The dentist would be working on three patients at the same time so I sat there and waited after he started on me to come back and finish. The last dentist split my lower lip wide-open by applying pressure on my lip not knowing that he was doing it. I owed them $240 and after showing them what he did they blew it off That was many years ago and I still owe them $240 the difference being they stopped billing me.

unfortunately this type of chain clinic is only as good as the location.
Much Like a restaurant franchise, i have seen different franchises of businesses, some that go above and beyond and some who barely make the cut.
I personally have not used Aspen but have heard good things from a family member and friends.
