AstraZeneca pulls covid vaccine from global market

AstraZeneca is pulling their covid vax from the global market. They say it was for commercial reasons.

MSN

Probably had more distribution in Europe and else where than the US.

No not really.

It has been superseded by Pfizer and Moderna.

As with all medications, including vaccines, ( all products really) older versions get removed from the market.

Nothing new or unusual about that.

Why would they do that nan? - unless in the future Covid disappears (seems unlikely) or an improved vaccine takes over.

Which also seems unlikely to me - more updated Pfizer variants much more likely than a new player i n the market now.

A new vaccine that combines a Covid segment and an Influenza segment is the replacement. JimB.

It just doesn't make sense to me that people that have had the vaccine are still getting covid. I feel sorry for them.
I see pfizer are making a cancer Vaccine now, most likley to treat the people who's former cancer has returned from having the covid vaccine.
Our Son see's a lot of Clients that have been affected by covid Vaccine.

I see lots of people who are not affected by the vaccine at all.

Nobody claims the vaccine (or any vaccine) has 100% efficiency - but, like all vaccine preventable diseases, if one gets it after being vaccinated it is almost always far less severe.
Not sure what there is to feel sorry for people in that.

Pfizer are a large company - they make several vaccines and many different medications - most of which have no connection to each other.

yes I agree - I think it likely there will be Flu and Covid vaccine combination in the future.

the same way swine flu was originally in a standalone vaccine but is now part of standard influenza vaccines

yes, AZ vaccine ( not gene therapy) had rare side effects - and has been superseded by improved vaccines. Since nobody is purchasing AZ any more, correct commercial decision is to cease production.

Actually there is such a vaccine in use now. It has been approved and is in use in Europe. JimB. In Toronto.

A "cancer vaccine " ??? Please tell all of us about this ? A link to a certified information source, like the Mayo Clinic, or the Johns Hopkin's Medical Centre would be great. In other words, I am calling you out, to prove what you wrote here. I await your response, with interest. JimB In Toronto.

Sorry may be tablets.
As a childhood surviver of Myeloid Leukemia and being treated holisticly, after 77 years I guess I dont trust big pharma
but look up on drugs.com Adcetris and its page of side effects
Also Look up Science Direct Was recomended by our Dr (with 40 years experience) if we wanted to know of medical science

I read the article. It is about Pfizer developing anti cancer medications, not anti cancer vaccines.

Pfizer, like astra zeneca, are huge corporations, they produce many different medications, most of which have no connection to each other.

Is your son a doctor or in the medical field???

Yes he is a Bowen Therapist, and Teacher and has been for 22 years

Our youngest daughter has lost her Disability Carers job from the effects of the pfizer vaccine making her realy ill.
So he is a massage therapist, not a Medical Doctor ?

Good to see you looked it up January, the only difference is they don't prescribe medicines much better and gentle moves than a massage therapist.
