We went to the firing range yesterday...my first time shooting a pistol. I walked up, aimed and BAM! right through the X on the heart of the target. My next five were very close to the center. Maybe I've found something I'm good at?

If it wasn't for the noise, shooting at targets might be kind of fun. Do they give you some kind of hearing protection?

Fur...any range I've been to, you have to have ear protection. Mine are like the guys that work around jets.
Nice going jujube. I'm pretty good up to 10 yards away. Anything over that is pot luck.

Opportunists in the UK are obviously a lot more restricted, but I was good with a rifle up to 600 yards, good enough for a military shooting team, pretty good with pistol and machine gun. I even managed to sink a floating target with an aircraft mounted 20mm cannon, but with a shotgun I can't hit a barn from the inside with the door shut!
