At what temperature do you prefer your food and beverage ?

The hubby and I were discussing this as we had our morning coffee. I use my french press for my coffee and after pouring it in my mug it measured 150 degrees, his from the Mr. Coffee measured 165 degrees. After I add my splash of International Delight it is perfect for drinking. I like my food just warm. If it is to hot I think it kills the flavor of the food. My son in law will make several trips with his plate during the meal to the microwave to keep his boiling hot. He drinks his tea while it is still shimmering.I do put ice in my cold drinks and like my salads nice and cold . I have a cousin who will put her salad in the microwave just to take the chill off. I like all fruit at room temperature except for melons and I never refrigerate tomatoes. How about you?

I never took my coffee's temperature, but I'll drink it hot, cold, warm, iced- doesn't matter'.

Food, very warm to warm, Or cold left over out of the fridge.

My son also jumps up and down to microwave his plate.

I also enjoy ice in cold drinks, never refrigerate tomatoes.

What little fruit I eat, I prefer cold.

I don't like to eat or drink anything that is either very hot or very cold.

Ice cream or sorbet I leave out until it's soft, then I stir it before I eat it.

I always put an ice cube in my first cup of coffee each morning.

I prefer foods that are good warm or at room temperature.

This may be a holdover from my childhood because my mother served everything boiling hot and I have memories of some very unpleasant experiences with scalding hot food and beverages. It could also be due to the fact that the first fifty years of my life were pretty much gulp and run when it came to meals.

Regarding coffee, the only way I won't drink it is re-heated. Ugh. Rather make iced-coffee out of it or just drink it without ice. I don't know why, but re-heated coffee changes somehow.
