If you have a dream you'd like help from others to interpret or you'd like to do it yourself, post it here.

OK. Not an individual dream..but topic. I can probably self interpret, but will throw this out. Every year around April (anniversary of when hubby, Rick moved on to his eternal rest) I start dreaming of him more. Usually just seeing him, brief visit. Most often at where we lived when he was alive. I moved to my apartment after he died.
I say it is because he is on my mind more.

I had a dream yesterday morning which woke me up because a very loud door bell came ringing n my ears. l was in a haze for a few moments. Then l remembered that l had woken up earlier and went back to sleep. Then the words Came to me Wake Up! It's later than you think.

Then l thought about the door bell and that someone must be there at the door waiting to be let in. And the thought came to me to open up and let them in..

I think that is right on Marie. I'm glad you're dreaming about your loving husband, and I really hope I have some more of my hubby, miss him so, dreams are more than welcome. Hugs to you, may he rest peacefully. đź’ś

I interpret that as a dream visit which is very real and he.s telling you by his visit that he is always there for you and you have touched in spirit and always will.

This is a very common phenomenon, called hypnopompic hallucination. Door bell ringing , phone ringing. noises or thinking that someone is in the room with you... these are all just 'your brain waking up'.

Most of my dreams are about places. I can't really locate them, but I think they are based on a mixture of places that I have been. I don't attach any real significance to them - just my old head trying to de-clutter.

I would suggest that a doorbell in a dream indicates a desire for social interaction in your life. Dreams are the experience of your unconscious and often indicate your emotional state. If you need more interaction in your life, it may be why the promise of someone coming into your life sparks hope and excitement. It's interesting that in your dream, you're willing to let whoever is at your door into the house.

I don't think that you should read too much into the 'doorbell dream' .

Hypnopompic hallucinations are hallucinations that occur in the morning as you’re waking up.

For most people, hypnopompic hallucinations are considered normal and are not cause for concern. They generally don’t indicate an underlying mental or physical illness, though they may be more common in people with certain sleep disorders. Learn more about what hypnopompic hallucinations are, how they differ from other types of hallucinations, and what you should do if you experience them.
