The auto industry supposedly tried to hide a report showing that US cars were less safe than European cars as to not endanger the Trans-Atlantic Trade Investment Partnership(TTIP) trade deal.

Many in Europe don't want to see the deal approved. Also find it kind of funny that a few days after a German car company was cited for their emissions shenanigans 'leaks' surface that the US car companies are involved in involved trying to hide a negative study about them.
