I've re-installed AVG and it has decided to block google and I read how to reverse it on sites but it just don't work ; for some reason AVG don't like google but will accept firefox?? I've read some instructions to reverse this but either I don't read well or they don't work anyhow?

I don't understand. Google is a search engine, and Firefox is a web browser. Unless you're referring to Google Chrome, Google's web browser?

Hmm. I don't use Chrome, but what happens when you try to use it?
well it seems:
1. AVG is definitely blocking major GOOGLE - I've checked the setting in internals and can't seem to change them however
2. It also appears and works if I have GOOGLE attached to my FIREFOX box in some way that then it works?? weird but true! so far
