Baby shower & first time parents

Today is a baby shower day for my middle daughter, so I have some things to finish up before I go. She told me yesterday that she and her husband got to see the baby's face for the first time and that the baby smiled. They were both so excited and thrilled. This has been a very unusual pregnancy in my family because her husband has couvade syndrome. He has been vomiting in the morning and sharing in all her symptoms. He's terribly embarrassed about that and doesn't want people he knows to know. I think it's because he has frantically trying to make everything 'perfect' for the baby and it's arrival so he has piled stress upon himself, and he also adores my daughter and is so worried over any tiny little thing having to do with her health. I don't know..I'm not an expert. This has never happened to someone close to me before. Anyway, the baby shower should be fun and I get to see a lot of people I haven't seen for a while. Hope you all have a good day .:)

Congrats to the happy couple, she's lucky to have a hubby who puts her first, not always that way nowadays. Have fun!

What a great guy your daughter married. Sounds like they're well prepared for parenthood. I hope you have very fun time today.

Okay. Finally back. I only got 5 pictures taken before the whole house suddenly filled up with people. There were 30 adults & I lost track of the little kids running around everywhere :) We made Mexican food. There was beef and chicken enchiladas, mexican bean salad, pizza, I forget what you call the fried cresent things..I'm tired. Everything is not in these pics. I wasn't done when the people came in. It was lovely and my daughter won't have to buy a thing for the first year at least.

Glad everything was so nice, that food is making me hungry! :D
