No, I always end up thinking stuff like that is too much trouble.

I used to, but not as a habit. I would go out to the all night donut shop about four mile away maybe 2 or 3 times a year on nights where I couldn’t sleep.

It's pretty tempting if it's a local mom&pop bakery with huge warm, fresh glazed donuts. Not at all for a chain donut shop like Krispy Kreme

There was a point in my life, when I did my grocery shopping late at night .. getting a drive-through coffee was a habit back then.

I have, but then again in my life I've worked every shift around the clock. Sometimes it was the only place open for a quick bite, other than a pancake house-- which even at the time seemed absurdly expensive.

I'm a diabetic, so I have to watch how much of those tasty carbs I eat. But, when I go off the wagon, if there was a 24 donut shop near me, they would have to call in the day shift to handle all the orders.

Not for a Donut shop but I have very often shopped late at night for groceries.....or driven across London late at night to get a Greek Gyros if I fancied one...

No, I can’t remember the last time I had a donut. There’s a 24 hr shop less than a mile away and it’s always busy.

Back in the day we had a tradition of stopping at an all night Krispy Creme after late night fishing trips. The basic glazed doughnuts were 5 cents but some of those fancy filled ones were up there around 7 or 8 cents each. This was back in the mid 60's. I don't think I've been in the wee hours of the morning since then.

I'm a diabetic, so I have to watch how much of those tasty carbs I eat.

I'm in a similar situation with my pre-diabetic diagnosis. Plus the number of calories I can eat and maintain my weight is about 1/2 of what it was when I was younger, if that.

Yes, sometimes at 2 am I went to 7-11 for coffee and doughnuts. Shot the breeze with clerk for an hour outside.

Apple Fritter in the fridge, loaded butter on for a trip thru
the micro and I loved it!!!!!

Unlikely I would bother going out in the middle of the night for this - but people coming home from shiftwork or a night on the town might get a donut.

I remember one time, while I was stationed in Japan that a co-worker, who brought his wife over had a dilemma. She was pregnant and had a craving for Lemon merague pie. He took off looking for this. Mind you, it's late in the evening,.......in Japan and he is looking for Lemon merague pie. Needless to say his efforts were fruitless. My response to this exhausted workmate the next day was that he would be lucky to find apple pie......lemon merague???????????? Still remember.

If we had a 24 hr donut shop we could hit it on the way home from work. I'd love that!
