Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato Sandwiches 🥰

It’s that time of year for a fresh, right off the vine tomato sandwich. I have enjoyed since I was probably two or three.

Kind of a seasonal thing here in NY, the hot house tomatoes don’t pass inspection,LOL

Used to have fake bacon, but, it just isn't the same as the real thing.

I LOVE Avocado. I put it in my salad. I also make a seafood stack -crab meat, shrimp and avocado.... soooo good...YUM!

Hellman's Mayo or Miracle Whip??

Mayo. Best Foods has one out in stores that's made strictly from olive oil. It's especially yummy on a BLT, my absolute fave sandwich.

Large bread size tomato
Ripe off the vine
Sliced thin (several slices, piled)

Home baked white bread
Right outa the oven
Sliced thick
Lightly toasted (not even brown)

Let a hint of butter melt evenly
Mayo....generous

Little salt, pepper

Slice that sandwich

Let the tomato drippings run down yer arm to yer elbow

Have another after swigging sun tea

WOOF!!!





No need to save room for dessert

.....there won't be anyway, after that 3rd sandwich

Another vote for a BLT or Club Sandwich with fresh tomato and plenty of mayonnaise.

In this area some of the farmers are growing tomatoes on the vine year round in hydroponic grow houses. These new vine ripened Frankenmatoes are almost as good as the real thing.

Growing up in Illinois the tomatoes were the best anyone could hope for. Now living in Texas they are useless red things. It's like Florida sweet corn, everything else is pig feed.
