Bad Habits that make our joints hurts

One, overweight by the charts. Some others i did in past but broke bad habits when my body indicated.

Haven't worn heels in decades. Never used thumbs to text, because my right thumb has been subluxated by arthritis for 20 yrs. Besides even most of my fingers too large for phone keys. My posture is good. i sit straight with lumbar support both driving and at computer. Sit more reclined to watch tv but spine still straight just not at right angle to legs. And usually support knees there.

I wear a brace when splitting logs into kindling to minimize further damage to the thumb. When i had neuropathic grip issues decades ago i developed the of using habit handled cups but with palm circling and fingers thru the handle not gripping it. That way if grip failed i only spilled a little i didn't drop and break the cup.

I sleep on back and side, actually shift my pillows so i have correct support for neck either way and I'm not contorting shoulder when on side. Also support upper knee when on side and both on back. Wake up less achy since i went to doing that.

Good advice from Bob and Brad. Many things that I should do, like the weights and stretching. I’m a stomach sleeper so don’t think I can give that up. I can contort myself into weird positions when reading; that’s one habit I‘m trying to break.
