Your legs between the rails on a walker, your arms extended down to the rails & your fingers wrapped around the rails should do the trick.

Sounds like a plan, I looked at a used one, but told myself just take it slow, but what the hell, I was thinking of one that has a motor . You say hands on rail, arms down, fingers around rail, I can do that.. I was hoping someone might say take this pill and everything will be okay. lol :beerandwhistle:QUOTE=Knight;986638]Your legs between the rails on a walker, your arms extended down to the rails & your fingers wrapped around the rails should do the trick.[/QUOTE]

I could talk all day long about issues with my back & legs, what I found helped me more than anything was two (2) adjustable canes. A physical therapist for a major university who has a private practice. suggested I try canes rather than a walker. It allows me to walk upright & stable. I have been hoofing it along on the canes for 2 years now. Balance was always my problem, it's actually called a 4 point gait. I tried the walking poles but they hurt my wrists so she suggested the alternate. The added benefit is the aerobic movement while walking my arms & back are much stronger now. 2 canes $18 ea. cheaper than a walker & easier to transport. I walk a mile & half everyday, 40 min duration.
