Basmati Rice

I was able to get a bag of Basmati rice from India today. First time I tried it. It has a different texture. It's really nice. I made rice and peas today with Shrimp.

The grains seem to be a lot longer.

Basmati or Arborio for rice pudding and mostly long grain brown rice for everyday dishes.

Basmati rice is so good and easy to eat alone or mixed with other food. I bought a huge bag before all this crap that is happening so I am good for several months.

I find basmati rice delicious! There is even brown basmati rice.

I like Basmati, as it's not very glutinous, and easy to cook. We buy Tilda brand (Indonesian, I think).

I like Basmati rice also and usually eat the brown kind. It’s great with stir fry’s or made into Chinese fried rice.

It's biryani and no I haven't but I love adding curry (I have Thai curry and regular curry) and both are great on rice. I will look up a recipe.

Oh I do love to make a nice curry dinner and the sauce is wonderful on rice. I also love long grain and wild rice. Here’s a nice blend and presidents choice puts out a really nice one too.

This blend has riceberry rice, wild rice, chusei rice, long grain brown rice and kow mun red rice in it.
