No we never had an avocado bathroom suite, but loads of people did.. much to their regret later

We had a similar sink after an early 70s remodel but it had a single lever mixing faucet.
The bathtub shower faucet and shower control had one of those big plastic diamonds.

Nowadays expensive bathroom are coloured but they leave the bath , sink and toilet white...Just like that. The toilet and tub were also blue.
I have that exact same sink but in pink. It matches the bathtub. Found a toilet on EBay, really cool, from that period but they wanted $1,200. The plumber told me that the pink and blue are coming back in style and sure enough, the pink can be found at Home Depot and Lowes. Who knew?

I put new vanities and sinks in my home in Virginia before I sold it. I put in a new kitchen about 4 years ago. I like keeping things updated and current styles. I read people that do this before selling it is a waste of money, but cosmetically, it does help to sell the home, you just fon’t get the money back that we spend doing the work.
The kitchen was the most expensive only because I added new appliances. New gas stove, new refrigerator, new microwave and new garbage disposal. I did all the work of putting in new cabinets and counter tops. I had a man come in a put down the new flooring.

In the last house I owned, one bathroom had the avocado suite (sink, toilet, bathtub/shower and tile surround) and the other one had harvest gold.
I lived there for 14 years and, unfortunately, they were in too good shape to justify ripping out, so I lived with them.
People said, "Oh, you'll never sell that house with those colors!" I did, quickly, and for more than asking price.
