We're having a gorgeous Friday here in Washington state. Hubby started cleaning out the front flower beds, and granddaughter's boyfriend who we've hired to help out just showed up. Will be so nice to have weed-free front garden beds again! How's YOUR Friday going?

Super windy by me here in Colorado. They promised a soaking rain today and urged people to put down fertilizer or lawn seed. I did have some bald areas in my yard and a bag of seed that I put down late yesterday. Well, today is windy and little or no rain, so I have the sprinkler going now in the wind just so my seeds don't completely blow away. Other than that it's been a good day, walked the dog at the park and just finished some stuffed clams for supper. Like they say, don't sweat the small stuff......especially when you're retired! :yes:

Can you put some salt-free hay over your seeds, SB?

Thanks for your suggestion Rose, but there's so many loose weeds, twigs and pine needles in my yard that are brought into my house daily by my dog, that hay doesn't sound very inviting.
