Bed times & Wake times

Bed by 9:30 and read for 40 min. Lights out by 10:30 at the latest. Up at 5:30 a.m. and earlier when we change the clocks forward as it is light by 5 a.m. Lately I have nights that I don't get up to go to the bathoom. I have a tea at 6:30 pm but no other liquids and only enough water at supper to take my pills.

Go to bed between 1-2AM and out like a light when my head hits the pillow. Up and out of bed between 6-7AM. Once my feet hit the floor, my cats are very active and racing around the house because mama is up and their food is on the way.

I'm in bed usually around 11PM, sometimes I'll go into the bedroom around 10ish and will watch a short stand up comedy with my husband before we call it a night. I'm usually asleep by midnight. I do keep a tiny radio under my pillow if I want to listen to a talk show in the night if I'm restless, usually public radio. I'm up around 7AM, that's when my dog is ready to go out in the yard for a few minutes. I usually get up two or three times to use the bathroom at night.
What type of radio do you have? I used to use a pillow speaker for a tabletop radio but this mini Retro radio which Walgreens sells every Christmas for 5 bucks goes right under the pillow, battery powered and no need for bluetooth speakers, earbuds or headphones. Antenna is like 3" and very sensitive. I listen to NPR on 90.7 MHz.

Great Christmas stocking stuffer.

That's a cute radio. :) This is the one I currently have, but have had other brands in the past, but same size and analog. I listen to NPR 90.1. If it's close to morning I'll switch to AM and tune into a local news station, they just report local and national news, weather and traffic and get into detail on some current stories. They always go under my pillow, I keep the volume low enough not to disturb my husband.

You have good taste. You rarely see slide rule dial analog radios nowadays. Sangean radios are high quality receivers that are quite affordable, excellent customer service and fast turnaround for warrantied repairs. I have the Sangean CL-100 AM/FM NOAA weather radio to monitor Amber and Silver alerts in Central Florida. I don't program the FIPS codes so I can hear all alerts that is activated by the 50 hz tone.

Up at five thirty, straight into the bathroom, shower, shave and ablutions. Breakfast, usually coffee and croissants with some fresh fruit. Out the door by six thirty and off to work.

Before Covid, we were out to various dances most evenings, then home, repeat the morning's wash routine and in bed by eleven. Retire? I will leave retirement for the old folk. I'm only 26, (plus 50)

I usually go to bed around nine and get up once in the night to use the bathroom. Then get up anywhere from four to six. I rarely sleep longer than that. I try not to actually follow a routine time to do things but can't help it if I am sleepy at the same time every night.

So, you're 26 with 50 years of experience. 😊

When in teens and 20s i was both a Night owl and a lark as 4-6 hrs was sufficient with my generally sleeping longer stretches in winter. Unless ill i can't sleep once the sun is up. 30s till age 65 family and work tended to dictate tho after 50 i moved toward needing 6-7.5 hrs nightly to function at my best.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in early 60s after a year or so of being chronically tired and not dreaming much cause apnea kept me from reaching REM stage. After a while on CPAP, went back to normal: very much in tune with the length of the days/nights. Sleeping less when the nights are short more when they are long.

In winter i get up about every 2 hrs to stoke the fire. But return to sleep easily. The slight hum of CPAP is like a cue ro my body. Since my daughter works an evening shift she's rarely asleep before midnight so she'll look after it and my first round of sleep will be 3-4 hrs. In summer i often sleep 4-5 hrs when first go bed at 11 or so and the untill sun is up--even with heavy curtains in bedroom i wake before it's even cleared the eastern ridge, because the sky is lighter or i just feel it.

I use an earbud plugged into my iPhone. Have it set to Coast to Coast AM which I listen to once in awhile. I get it through I ♥️ Radio.

I listen to the Itunes app on my ancient Samsung. I have one of the rare ZTE's that actually have a real FM radio embedded in it. Just need earbuds to listen.
